                                     Why is Social Media Important for Businesses and Entrepreneurs?
                Social media is a big part of many businesses for worldwide entrepreneurs. It is almost nearly impossible to have a business without a social media for your brand in today’s society. Why is social media important for businesses and entrepreneurs, increase of brands, the possibility to receive attention from other entrepreneurs who have built their brands to a certain level? Businesses and entrepreneurs need social media, but why? Entrepreneurs and businesses need social media, or per say needs to use social media for multiple reasons.
The world needs to know you exist, the world needs to know who you are, the world needs to know what is your brand, what does it stand for, why your brand? Social media can help businesses and entrepreneurs of certain and many businesses receive feedback more quickly when it comes to product and services. It is always good to enhance your brand by creating connections to make a huge business impact. Creating connections can result in great business relationships and develop personal referrals. Social media gives any business the opportunity to reach a higher influencer and to reach potential investors into one’s company. A strong social media presence increases the entrepreneur’s brand, for example Ariel little who is a mass communication graduate of Southern Arkansas University has been a self-taught makeup artist for about 5-6 years. Ariel is a consistent poster on social media. As a self-taught makeup artist Ariel often demonstrates her craft and how she perfects her craft through tutorial videos on YouTube, 50 second videos on Instagram, Snaps on snapchat, and live videos on Facebook. During the prom season of 2019 Ariel made $15,00 extra income.
Having social media as a business owner can also increase promotions as well as increase the name of one’s brand. D’Ara Denise who started a group on Facebook designed to teach girls how to do makeup is now in partnership with Crayon Case company owner RayNell Stewart, who started off as a big social media comedian and personality. RayNell started as a self-taught makeup artist as well as using the platform she already had on social media to enhance her brand. RayNell is an example of how you gain supporters and how beneficial it can be to use what you already have to promote your Brand. Ariel Little is also a part of D’Ara Denise’s glam team which is also a great example of connections and promotional use and referrals.
Social media platforms also help business owners connect with customers on a better and personal level. I believe that that social media is more complex for small businesses in many different aspects due to being able to work and connect with customers without having to stop what you are already doing. With more than three billion people in this world using social media, promoting small businesses and brands are trending with high expectations. Your social media presence needs a large platform, and as a business owner you have to be willing to be consistent in growing because it will eventually give growth to your brand as a whole.
Having knowledge about your business is also a big part of why it is important to have social media. Raising awareness connecting to your brand is only right because if you aren’t aware of what your brand is or what it stands for how will you be able to promote it as such? You have to be willing to define your brand in your own way amongst many viewers and watchers on social media. If people aren’t aware of what your brand is they won’t be able to become customers, and having a social media platform can help enhance the brand.
Social media channels evolve, it may take time, but they most definitely evolve. Any famous Youtuber will most likely tell you they started out with very few subscribers and eventually worked their way to 1,000, to 2k, and them 1 million subscribers, but how? Being consistent and finding way to enhance their brand. Also when having a small business or any business connected to a social media platform you have to be really intact with your creativity. Being creative plays a big role in one owning his or her own business for many different reasons. Being creative is an opportunity to be different. When it comes to any business it is importance to have a consistent form of communication and social media is very much so a complex and beneficial form of communication. Social media remains a big avenue for communication when it comes to marketing a business. Social media provides more than enough ways to communicate effectively for all businesses. As well as digital marketing is necessary for small businesses. It is proven and stated by Forbes list that social media is necessary for all businesses.
